The ever-so consistent Handy Hollow wins for the Racing Club taking the 2m7½f Handicap Hurdle by over a length under Lorcan Murtagh5.

Led to 2nd, tracked leaders, ridden to lead flat, ran on (op 3/1 tchd 9/2)


8th September – Stratford

Noah And The Ark wins the Class 3 2m½f Novices’ Hurdle by over 3 lengths under Harrison Beswickin the colours of Bart Ryan-Beswick.

Detached in last pair until 3rd, went 4th 2 out, challenged on inner before last where racing awkwardly, led and bungled jump but soon came clear, easily (op 9/1)


4th September – Stratford

A hat-trick for Beach Break as he wins the Class 3 2m½f  Handicap Hurdle by over 2 lengths under Brian Hughes in the colours of G E Fitzpatrick.

Pressed leader until ridden to lead well before last, soon edged left, almost joined last, quickly pulled out extra (op 15/8 tchd 13/8)


1st September – Wolverhampton

A father-daughter flat winner for Bankhouse as Barnaby Brook wins the 1m½f Silk Series Lady Riders’ Handicap (Pro-Am Lady Riders’ Race) by 1/2 a length under Miss Ella McCain for D McCain Jnr.

Tracked leader, went clear of the rest over 6f out, led over 5f out, clear over 3f out until over 2f out, ridden and edged right from over 1f out, stayed on (op 7/1 tchd 17/2)


30th August – Sedgefield

A hat-trick for Ink Master as he stays on well to win the 2m½f Handicap Chase by over 2 lengths under Brian Hughes in the colours of Green Day Racing.

Prominent, ridden to lead between last 2, stayed on (op 7/2 tchd 9/4 and tchd 4/1)


27th August – Cartmel

Sticky toffee pudding all round as Lofgren (Mrs C P Lees-Jones) and Ormesher (Sarah & Wayne Dale) win well providing a double on the day for Team McCain and Brian Hughes.


20th August – Bangor

A double on the day for Team McCain as Beach Break (Brian Hughes/G E Fitzpatrick) and Handy Hollow (Lorcan Murtagh/Donald McCain Racing Club) both win well.


18th August – Perth

A pillar-to-post victory for Good Tradition as he wins the Class 3 2m4f Handicap Hurdle by over 3 lengths under Harry Stock in the colours of C D Stock.

Made all, soon clear, ridden after 3 out, slightly reduced advantage last but never in danger (op 9/1 tchd 11/1)


5th August – Market Rasen

Breakfast makes all to win the Class 3 2m½f Juvenile Hurdle by 9 lengths under Brian Hughes for owners T Leslie And N Sutton.

Made all, clear 2 out, pushed out (op 13/8)


1st August – Perth

Consecutive wins for Ink Master as he comfortably wins the 2m Handicap Chase by 32 lengths in the hands of Brian Hughes owned by Green Day Racing.

Took keen hold, led and clear until not fluent 3rd, headed 6th, pressed leader, just over 1 length down and keeping on when left 6 lengths clear 2 out, kept on well (op 6/4)
