4th August – Bangor

The ever-so consistent The Clock Leary makes it two from two at Bangor winning the 3m Handicap Chase by over a length under Will Kennedy in the colours of Mig Medical Installations Ltd.

Chased leader, led 4 out, asserted approaching last, driven out run-in, kept up to work close home (op 4/1)


2nd August – Perth

Consecutive wins for What Happens Now as he makes all to take the opener by ¾ of a length under Will Kennedy in the colours of Deva Racing.

Made all, set modest gallop, ridden before 2 out, stayed on strongly from last (op 6/5 tchd 5/4)


28th July – Uttoxeter

Dark Sunset wins first time under rules taking the 2m4f Mares’ Maiden Hurdle by 4½ lengths in the colours of Penketh and Sankey Jech Racing Club.

Chased leader until shaken up to lead approaching 2 out, ridden when not fluent last, stayed on well (op 3/1)


27th July – Worcester

A quick-fire double for Team McCain and Will Kennedy as Court Dismissed wins the opener for owners Special Piping Materials Ltd followed by Thyne for Gold winning the second race in the colours of Livvys Racing Group.


23rd July – Stratford

Secret Escape takes the bumper on her debut run under Lorcan Murtagh (7) winning by over 3 lengths in the colours of the Donald McCain Racing Club.

Held up in touch led over 1f out, ran on well (op 7/1)


22nd July – Cartmel

Sticky toffee pudding for Team McCain as What Happens Now wins the opener by a neck under Brian Hughes for owners Deva Racing.

Led to 2nd, with leader, regained lead 7th, ridden before last, hard pressed last 150yds, held on gamely close home (op Evens)


16th July – Stratford

Dear Sire stayed on well to win the 2m½f “National Hunt” Novices’ Hurdle by 6 lengths under Lorcan Murtagh (7) for owners Green Day Racing.

Jumped right, made virtually all, jumped right and dived 4th, asserted between last 2 and in command when hung left before last, blundered badly last, stayed on, ridden out (op 2/1)


14th July – Carlisle

A first ride under rules is a winning one for Ella McCain as Dark Confidant wins the 1m Handicap by 3/4 length in the colours of Donald McCain.

Midfield, ridden and headway over 1f out, stayed on, led 50yds out (op 17/2)


8th July – Nottingham

Another flat winner for Abbie McCain as Diamonds Dancing wins the opener by 3/4 lengths in the colours of Mrs Sian McCain.

Led until headed 2 out, soon ridden and led again over 1f out, stayed on well inside final furlong, gamely (op 16/1)
