10th December – Musselburgh

A pillar-to-post victory for 3-y-o Liva as he takes the feature race of the day, the Class 2 1m7½f Juvenile Hurdle to win by over 4 lengths under Daryl Jacob in the colours of Simon Munir & Isaac Souede.

Made all, shaken up and quickened after 2 out, clear when driven run-in, eased near finish (op Evens tchd 5/4)


3rd December – Musselburgh

A super day for Team McCain! Morraman (Birkdale Bloodstock/Miss A McCain), Spin The Coin (Mrs Sarah Leslie/Brian Hughes) and Yes No Maybe So (Straightline Bloodstock/Brian Hughes) all win well providing the team with a treble.


2nd December – Carlisle

An impressive under rules debut for The Con Man as he wins the 2m4f Smarkets British EBF “National Hunt” Novices’ Hurdle (Qualifier) by 5 lengths in the colours of T G Leslie.

Prominent, went second 6th to 4 out, headway to lead 2 out, ridden clear from last (op 7/2 tchd 10/3 and tchd 9/2)


1st December – Bangor

A Saturday winner for Deva Racing as Shantaluze justifies favouritism taking the 2m½f DU Construction “National Hunt” Novices’ Hurdle winning by over 2 lengths under Brian Hughes.

Chased leader, led after 3 out, 2 lengths clear 2 out, ridden in 3 lengths lead when hit last, ridden clear run-in (op 9/4 tchd 6/4)


22nd November – Market Rasen

A winner for the Donald McCain Racing Club as Derrynane wins the 2m½f Lincs Loos Lady Riders’ Handicap Hurdle by over a length in the hands of  Miss Abbie McCain7.

Soon tracked leaders, angled left between last 2, stayed on to lead final 150yds, in control towards finish (op 7/2 tchd 10/3)


14th November – Bangor

Double delight for Team McCain and Will Kennedy as Thyne For Gold (Livvys Racing Group) and The Some Dance Kid (The Blue Nuns) win well.


3rd November – Ayr

Saturday winner! Raise A Spark takes the Class 3 2m½f Handicap Chase by 5 lengths under Brian Hughes in the colours of R Pattison & R Kent.

Not fluent on occasions, in touch, smooth headway to chase leader 4 out, shaken up after 2 out, led before last, pushed clear run-in (op 9/4)


27th October – Kelso

Middlebrow holds on well to win the 2m1f Handicap Chase by a head under Brian Hughes for owner T G Leslie.

In touch, steady headway 5 out, effort and disputed lead 2 out, mistake last, rallied and led last 100yds, held on well (op 7/4)


11th October – Bangor

Double delight for Team Bankhouse and Brian Hughes as Lofgren (Mrs C P Lees-Jones) and Shantaluze (Deva Racing) both win well.


7th October – Kelso

Noah and The Arc wins readily taking the 2m Novices’ Hurdle by 5 lengths under Harrison Bewick (7) for owner Bart Ryan-Beswick.

Held up in last place, smooth headway before 2 out, led last, soon clear, readily (op 11/4 tchd 2/1 and tchd 3/1)
